Special Assessment gets More Special

At the most recent HOA meeting, Jeff Estis, an employee of Florida Skyline Management announced the need for a special assessment in the sum of $206.89 per unit to cover the cost of insurance premiums but decided to round up the amount to $300.00 (an additional $93.11 per unit) to cover the cost of well, who knows, Jeff mentioned at the meeting he conducted that the money would be spent on things like fence pickets and other incidentals. The HOA Board then complied and approved the special/special assessment.

There are 264 units in our community so the "round up" cost was $24,581.04. Fence pickets are about 2 dollars apiece so that should cover about 12,290 pickets, depending on how you round up.
