Almost two years ago the HOA Board engaged Sun Catcher Roofing to put new roofs on all the buildings in the Boca Rio Townhomes Community. Most of the negotiations were held during the period known as "pandemic" so all communications to the community and board meetings were "zoomed" in by the HOA board. The board claimed that they had received several quotes and decided to do the project with Sun Catcher Roofing whose owner is a long time friend of Mike Betters, our recently resigned Board President. The contract was amended several times to accommodate supply chain issues, so we can't be sure if it was ever a binding contract originally and has certainly exceeded the original quoted price.
The question is .. does anyone know what the cost of the project is? The Board and it's acting boss, Jeff Estis from Skyline Management have not answered that question. If you know the answer to the question please leave it below in comments. It would be nice to solve this mystery.
